The next generation of salt spray and cyclic corrosion test chambers has now been introduced by Ascott Analytical to offer a versatile and easy to use choice of units with a range of new features – many the direct result of customer feedback. Chamber sizes range from 120 litres to 2000 litres capacity and feature a low loading threshold and an easily opened canopy that incorporates a large viewing window. Standard or Premium configurations can be specified, as can an extensive range of optional accessories to match each installation to precise application requirements. "User experience has been a key driver behind many features of the new units, such as a full colour touch screen, which allows pre-programmed sequences to be set," says Ascott’s MD, Chris Gates. "A choice of supports and mounting systems for product location is also available as are refrigeration units, SO2 gas dosing systems, automatic salt dosing and software options for data logging." An increasingly important element in manufacturing, corrosion testing impacts directly on performance, durability and product appearance. The new chambers, says Ascott Analytical, will help users maximise this key stage in product development and production.
