该款硬度计外形设计上美观大方，免去人工用显微镜测量压痕直径，直接用电脑测量软件操作，使测量过程方便快捷，减轻人眼疲劳，电脑软件不断可以修正硬度值，测量比普通布氏硬度计精确。
主要用于铸铁、钢材、有色金属等材料的硬度测定，此外还可以用于硬质的塑料、电木等某些非金属材料硬度的测定。适用于工厂、车间、试验室、大专院校和科研机构。
